Check anything that Opens and Closes
Unexpected coastal weather during any season can cause damage to fences, walls and gates while moisture and dampness in the air can cause doors, windows and even locks to malfunction. Inspecting and addressing these issues as soon as possible will ensure that you save money in the long run by not needing to replace them when it is too late.
Check Plumbing Regularly
Avoid bigger plumbing issues by checking for leaks or blockages in areas that require water. This includes your irrigation systems, indoor and outdoor taps, washing machines, showers, baths, and basins. This is also a good time to inspect your roof for broken, missing or loose tiles. Broken or missing tiles can cause leakage in your ceiling while loose tiles can blow off in strong winds and damage your property.
Look out for Mould, Dampness or Rotting Wood
